Separator Filtration Systems

Separator filter systems are mechanical filtration systems used to separate sand, gravel, and similar heavy contaminants from water. The system works by collecting water from a side inlet into the filter housing and storing it through a centrifugal (vortex) effect. Contaminants heavier than the water are directed downwards by this rotational movement and removed from the system level through a blowdown line at the lower level.

Since no filter elements or consumables are used during the filtration process, operating costs are extremely low. At the same time, minimal wastewater is generated thanks to the controlled blowdown amount. These features make separator filters particularlypreferred in well water outflows and applications with high gross sanitary loads.

The discharge of contaminated water can be accomplished manually or automatically using a blowdown system, depending on process requirements. Its simple design reduces maintenance costs and ensures long-term stable performance.
